Joan McAlpine: In the grey 70s David Bowie was just a paedophile

MOAN reflects on Joan McAlpine’s reflection on music legend and not so secret paedophile David Bowie. His predilection for groupie children should make everyone think again – particularly mothers with teenage daughters – Joan McAlpine excepted. Obviously:

"...thrilling splash of colour and danger." or predatory paedophile abusing his fame, position and power? Joan decides.

“…thrilling splash of colour and danger?” or predatory paedophile abusing his fame, position and power? Joan McAlpine MSP decides.

By Moan McVulpine Ground control to Major Joan

“Evil will triumph when good men do nothing” sermonised Joan McAlpine in her Daily Record column of 16th July 2014.

It was a roaster of a piece, full of hellfire and brimstone aimed straight at British establishment “corruption at its most base and evil form”.

Her withering contempt was aimed at the systemic covering up of child abuse by those in the higher echelons of power in Britain.

As diatribes go, it generated enough passion and heat to set fire to a soggy chip poke full of yesterday’s news.

Whether Joan actually believed it, or was just using it as a big Nationalist stick of moral indignation and self righteousness to beat Indy unbelievers over the head with, is a moot point. The subtext of her polemic was as transparently crude as the presentation of the subject matter – vote No and you’re voting for paedophiles.

Moan suspects Joan didn’t care – that it was written for effect – like most of her columns.

How else could you explain her eulogising of David Bowie as some kind of god of sexual emancipation for gay men when other, more threatening, skeletons were lurking in his closet?

Describing the moment when Bowie draped himself over Mick Ronson on Top of the Pops, Joan drooled: “I know lots of gay people whose lives were changed at that moment. A decade before, they would have got married and stayed in the closet. Now they had options.”

Really!

It may or may not have been true. For Joan it certainly was.

Moan wonders if Joan knows lots of paedophiles. Surely, by the same logic, Bowie provided “options” for them too when he deflowered 13 year old virgin groupie Lori Maddox and then proceeded to engage in a threesome with Lori and her 13 year old best friend Sable Starr in his Beverly Hilton Hotel suite.

Both girls were children. Bowie was a grown man abusing his fame, position and power. These antics were no secret in pop fan circles. Why didn’t Joan say anything – anything at all – about that “moment”?

After all, she admitted that with Bowie’s gay emancipation routine, “Bowie knew exactly what he was doing.”

Columnist Julie Burchill summed it up poignantly in the Spectator when she pondered: “under some circumstances, would you excuse, worship, deify a man who has knowingly had sex with children, if he had created music which you passionately believe made the world a better place? Or not?”

Joan appeared to answer that: “He was David Bowie. He was untouchable.”

Euurgh!

“Evil will triumph when good men do nothing” right enough.

Wings Over Scotland: An absence of f**king irony

INDEPENDENCE CAMPAIGNER to be and hate-preaching guardian of the Nationalist Front psyche, Stuart Campbell of Wings Over Scotland, was lamenting the acrimonious side to the indy debate yesterday. In an irony free blog post covering the progress of current referendum discourse, the alleged Reverend discussed the treatment of the Weirs – the SNP’s largest donators to the cause. AhDinnaeKen investigates:

It was reported in Edinburgh that James MacKenzie and Calum Cashley spontaneously combusted yesterday upon such joyous news.

It was reported in Edinburgh yesterday that James MacKenzie, Calum Cashley and Euan McColm spontaneously combusted  upon hearing the joyous news.

By Longshanker aka @ergasiophobe

DIMINUTIVE DEMAGOGUE, wee Stuarty Campbell was in reflective mood yesterday.

The tone of the referendum’s discourse has taken a turn for the worse and he “reluctantly” chose to talk about “the odious and hateful side of the independence debate“.

Leaving aside that this is like a skunk complaining about bad smells in the environment, the ‘wee’ man reflected on the issue in a blog entitled ‘An absence of Respect‘.

It covered the abuse the Nationalist campaign’s largest donators, the Weirs, have suffered at the hands of the SNP’s opponents and, in particular, gorgeous George Galloway – the reason behind the capitalisation of the R in Respect.

In this instance, the Nationalist Front Ranter had a point, of sorts.

It’s unfortunate for Better Together’s motley crew that the Weirs won so much money, but that’s life. Get ower it! There’s no point in whinging about it. It just makes the whingers look and sound sour and gives self appointed proselytising pontiffs like Campbell the chance to act as if they were possessed of some kind of moral superiority.

Regular readers will know that AhDinnaeKen frequently refers to the Laird Wilcox Extremist Traits list to help point out Campbell’s varying forms of extremism.

Aside from numbers 1 and 2 – which are the most tediously obvious and commonly demonstrated Campbell/Wings traits – ‘An absence of Respect‘ demonstrates trait numbers: 5) ADVOCACY OF DOUBLE STANDARDS, 6) TENDENCY TO VIEW THEIR OPPONENTS AND CRITICS AS ESSENTIALLY EVIL and 7) MANICHAEAN WORLDVIEW.

So far, so stereotypical.

AhDinnaeKen’s chuckles of incredulity were amplified by this moralising statement in the blog: “Independence campaigners should expect an endless, rancid vomit-slick of this sort of provocation in the next four months.

Ironically, independence campaigners don’t have to wait, Campbell delivered it to their Twitter feed a long time ago and he’s still pumping it out from his rat infested bedsit.

The following is a flavour of the type of ‘progressive‘ and ‘civic‘ campaigning indy-ref voters/campaigners can expect from a soon to be ‘official‘ campaigner for the Yes side:

In a recent Scotsman article Lesley Riddoch said: "The way people are heard and treated today creates either confidence or doubt about the future." I wonder what Wings supporting Lesley would think about being called a hypocrite.

Moan McVulpine: Word of McAlpine is gospel according to the Nationalists

MOAN MCVULPINE discusses the mystery behind the barefaced front of Nationalist mouthpieces, and says they do not represent politics but the comedy wing of Nationalism:

Moan McVulpine Banner
By Moan McVulpinegiving it to them baby

THE NATIONALISTS like to present themselves as the voice of Scotland. But is that true in the real Scotland?

Take their recent attempted demolition of the CBI’s reputation. Everyone and his dog knows that the CBI is mostly Tory. They represent big business and, almost naturally, their values correspond with Tory values. So far, so what.

Furthermore, the CBI have recently shot themselves in the foot – public relations wise – over their recent Declaration of No. They’ve started hemorrhaging Scotland based members due to the ‘partisan’ nature of their stance.

It makes them fair game for the Nationalists.

But, and this is a big but, are certain big ‘N’ Nationalists going over the score in their condemnation of the “bosses union” in order to fulfil a Nationalist mantra – ie ‘we hate the Tories’ and so does Scotland.

Advocates of Scottish history are familiar with our forefathers highly successful use of ‘scorched earth’ tactics to deny tactical advantage to their (mostly English) enemies.

And the recent PR gaffe by the CBI, gives the Nationalists another opportunity to demonstrate their ‘scorched earth’ mindset to achieve a Yes vote.

Post referendum, the CBI are still going to exist – like it or not. Despite the loss of some high profile Scottish members, they’re still going to have a great deal of influence on Scottish business.

Does publicly trashing, not only their High Heid Yin in Scotland, but their integrity and raison d’être, bode well for post-referendum relations with a potential Nationalist government?

Is scorched earth smearing and denigration really the kind of signal a serious political organisation should indulge in?

Particularly when the Big Boss, Sun King Salmond, is such a suck up to corporate moguls like Murdoch, Trump, Amazon et al.

What the attack/smear by Salmond’s ‘special’ aide Ms McAlpine demonstrates is the selective memory of Nationalists:

“The head of CBI Scotland, Iain McMillan, has always been vocal in his opposition, not just to independence but to devolution.” she points out in her weekly comedy relief column in the Daily Ranger.

Have these people ever heard of irony? Or does Ms McAlpine think that a sizeable portion of Scots forget that the Scottish Nationalist Party originally opposed devolution as well.

It’s called ‘selective memory’ and it’s a prominent trait of Nationalists throughout the world, not just the wee jobby Scottish ‘civic’ variety.

Labour ‘couldn’t deliver a pizza, let alone a Parliament‘ sneered Salmond in 1997 before his Damascene conversion to Home Rule.

Of course, McAlpine’s attack makes great copy for the converted to the cause and adds to the feel good ‘momentum’ currently occupying their heids at present.

So much so, that McAlpine takes off on a flight of fancy and compares the Business for Scotland wing of National Collective to the CBI.

It took me a couple of rolls of lavy paper to soak up the tears of laughter.

As pointed out by ‘evil unionist’ anti-independence Tweeter @brigadoongent, Business for Scotland is only marginally more/less credible than Labour for Indy and its ‘swelling’ ranks.

Both organisations fulfil a key element of the recently formed Nationalist shibboleth that the Yes campaign is more than the Nationalist party.

Aye, right!

But, since when has reality stopped Nationalists from making laughable assertions?

Answers in green crayon to evil Tory mouthpiece, the CBI.

Oh dear! #2 A game of spot the difference for Natalie McGarry

AHDINNAEKEN IS willing to bet that the people of Cowdenbeath are counting their blessings following the actions of “Twitter personality” Natalie McGarry yesterday. When it comes to smearing she should at least follow the lead of fellow Nationalists who know what they’re doing. AhDinnaeKen investigates:

A recent Panelbase poll revealed the credibility of Nationalist smears by weight.

A recent Panelbase poll revealed the credibility of Nationalist smears by weight per 100kg.

By Longshanker aka @ergasiophobe

AHDINNAEKEN CALLED out the niece of Presiding Officer, Trisha Marwick, yesterday.

We* displayed a couple of tweets which highlighted Natalie’s, er, inconsistency, when smearing/labelling people.

The reaction to AhDinnaeKen’s blog by the failed Cowdenbeath by-election candidate was all too predictable. Nasty too.

Following the blog “Oh dear! Twitter personality Natalie McGarry caught out yet again“, we* received a tweet from Brian Spanner.

The initial tweet by Brian reeked of something that wasn’t very nice. In relation to Natalie he said: “her blood line could only get her so far. she is genuine bombscare material and i doubt she’ll get another run at a seat.”

Here’s how Natalie chose to display that interaction:

EXHIBIT A: https://twitter.com/nataliemcgarry/status/452890369177714688/photo/1

Carefully cropped picture for smearing effect shock! I can't believe that the niece of the Presiding Officer could do such a thing. Doesn't reflect too well, does it?

Carefully cropped picture for smearing effect shock! I just can’t believe that the niece of the Presiding Officer could post this when it was so easily exposed for the sham that it is. Doesn’t reflect too well on the quality or integrity of our prospective MSPs does it?

Makes it look bad for @ergasiophobe doesn’t it. The use of the phrase “blood line” has some pretty poor connotations. And Natalie seized the opportunity in as subtle a fashion as could be predicted.

AhDinnaeKen might be rude, very occasionally crude and mostly idiotic, but we*’ll always challenge the kind of language used in this instance by Brian.

EXHIBIT B:  https://twitter.com/Ergasiophobe/status/452874896742572032

The term 'Twitter personalit' implies that you know how to use Twitter. Extra lessons required for Ms McGarry perhaps.

The term ‘Twitter personality’ implies that you know how to use Twitter. Extra lessons required for Ms McGarry perhaps? Call it a hunch.

Not too difficult to spot the difference between the actual conversation and the way Natalie presented it – is it?

She did the same with another Tweeted reply by Pat McKane, but that’s all we*’re going to say about that horrible tweet. Check the @ergasiophobe timeline if you’re interested.

We*’re not going to say too much about Natalie’s rank amateur attempt at smearing, other than what was said yesterday: “If you’re going to smear with a sticky ‘one size fits all’ label, at least provide some evidence and be consistent.”

The evidence presented here speaks for itself. Next!

Scottish independence: Scots EU plan gets the green light from EC president

The writing on the wall is ever more clear – Project Fear will do and say anything to stop Scotland from claiming its inalienable right to achieve ffrreeddoomm!!™ from its ancient subjugating enemy – RUKland. AhDinnaKen rejoices:

“The moment you doubt whether you can dictate to the EU, you cease for ever to be able to do it.” ― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan.

“The moment you doubt whether you can dictate to the EU, you cease for ever to be able to do it.” ― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan.

By Dee Nile

COMMENTS BY the European Council president have confirmed the ease with which Scotland will be welcomed into Europe.

Herman Van Rumpypumpy said that, if Catalonia became independent from Spain, then there was no reason why Scotland couldn’t follow suit.

Bitter Together opposition parties said the Scottish government’s argument was now more credible than credibility itself.

Nationlistminsters said the comments were “clearly” welcome and would add pressure to the increasing scaremongerer-ing of their Project Feartie enemies.

Mr Van Rumpypumpy, who clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about, emerged from a meeting with David Cameron, convinced that the two men can circumvent the magical all encompassing powers of the Edinburgh Agreement.

He said: “If part of a territory has Moses Salmond in it, then normal rules  do not apply.

“If Salmond asserts it, then so must it be. Ignore the pish of the Unionyptians. They’re running scared.”

Triumphalist, self-righteous, morally superior, civic, inclusive, progressive denialist for the Nationalist party, Wee Naebudy, said: “It is now more clear than clarity that Europe will accede to the word of the Lord through our exalted leader Moses Salmond.

“The blasphemers have mocked, ridiculed and jeered our great leader.

“They will be laughing on the other side of their faces following the letter we found on NewsnetScotland.”

Wangs Watch: Nationalist hate preacher Rev Stu ramps up the hate in hateful hate tirade

It’s the danger of Nationalism in all its forms. When faced with a perceived threat – real or otherwise – it must manufacture enemies upon which friends and potential friends can unite in a communal style hate-in. It may be as dull and as stereotypical as an Orwellian Goldstein style two minute hate ritual, but Rev Stu Campbell, a self professed ahem, ‘professional journalist’ provides a prima facie example of how even the most trivial of incidents can be used as a vehicle for his Nationalist desire to get people to “hate” his perceived enemies. AhDinnaeKen investigates:

Irony seems to escape Nationalist types like the Rev as his headline clearly demonstrates.

Irony seems to escape Nationalist types like the Rev – as his headline above clearly demonstrates.

By Longshanker

THE MAGGIE Fair in Moray is apparently one of the oldest fairs held in the whole of the UK. It’s the sort of event where locals come together, have a lot of fun, peruse the stalls and end up in the beer tent for a sing song and a couple of drinky-poos.

Just like the Marymass Festival down AhDinnaeKen’s way, it’s a smashing day out and it all adds to a sense of community wellbeing where the variety of incidents which inevitably occur can be talked about for weeks, if not months, afterwards.

For polarised isolated self confessed Nationalist misanthropes who have severe difficulty dealing with real world people, it’s an opportunity to foment hatred and ill will through the medium of their hate preaching and hateful blogs.

Welcome to the cupboard under the stairs world of Wangs Over Skintland and its vile little ‘plugged in’ hate preacher, Rev Stu Campbell.

The essence of his hate based non-story is that a couple of Yes Campaigners were hounded out of the Fair under alleged threats of violence by the Unionist forces of oppression – Bitter Thegither.

In true Orwellian Goldstein communal hate ritual style, the Rev conflates the non-story into a sinister Bitter Thegither Project Feartie assault on the Nationalist forces of righteousness and ffreeeddoomm™.

What appears to have escaped the polarised militant’s ken, is that normal people enjoying themselves can’t be arsed with the politicisation of a fun family day out.

At no point does he prove that the ‘residents’ who asked the Yes campaigners to leave were Better Together campaigners or, No supporters or indeed, Unionists. They could have been separatists for all we* know.

And he further conflates the phrase, things could “turn a bit nasty” into the Yes campaigners being intimidated under pain of a drunken beating.

Consider the penultimate, pluralis maiestatis, paragraph of his rant:

“We cannot, of course, make any direct connection between “Better Together” and an “angry” crowd containing “lots” of its supporters intimidating three peaceful volunteers with official permission to be at the fair into leaving, on pain of a drunken beating. There may have been no crossover at all between the many No supporters and the angry people who the Yes activists were warned might assault them.”

He can’t make a direct connection, but that doesn’t stop him from making a laughably fallacious direct connection anyway. Consider his laughably faux sanctimonious conclusion:

“All we can say for certain is that “Better Together” demonstrably doesn’t like people putting forward polite and reasoned arguments against it in public, from which readers may or may not wish to form their own judgements.”

The only thing you “can say for certain” is that the Rev is no ahem, ‘professional journalist’. His conclusion is pure supposition based on conflation of a trivial incident for his own purposes – the type of nasty wee trick he regularly accuses the hated mainstream media of manufacturing. So no surprise there then.

What the Rev’s empty non-story makes patently clear is that, in the world of the polarised Nationalist hate preacher, no incident is too trivial, no incident is too petty and no incident is too below the radar to use in order to whip up hatred of his perceived enemies.

And those enemies take many faces; Women, Gays, Unionists, journalists, Rangers supporters, Celtic supporters, Liverpool fans, Scots not prepared to vote Yes, Labour supporters, Conservative supporters, Greens, Lawyers, Irish people, Welsh people, English people, non-grammatically correct people, etc etc etc.

He wants you to hate him – Nationalist or Unionist – it doesn’t matter to him, because the hatred validates his existence.

If you don’t agree with his warped idea of what independence will mean for the country he doesn’t even bother to live in, then you are a “fuckwit” upon whom his “battle lines” will be “clearly drawn”.

Ask respected nationalists Natalie McGarry or Kate Higgins what they think of his clearly drawn battle lines and they’ll tell you he’s a nasty wee misogynist best ignored.

Kate has the Rev sussed.

Kate has the Rev sussed.

He clearly has a problem with women, which is a symptom which tends to come with the territory inhabited by bigoted misanthropic hate preachers like the Rev.

And that is the reason AhDinnaeKen suspects this non-story saw the light of day on his pseudo-political hate preaching blog.

The story of the incident came about because of a tweet from Union supporting, Labour supporting Louise Morton concerning the incident of the unwelcome Yes campaigners.

For the Rev it must have been like a red rag. No wonder he pulled out all the stops – a WOMAN!, a UNIONIST and a LABOUR supporter. Could there ever be a more vile combination in his arid, spiritually empty and hate driven misogynistic world?

Now that’s what I call ahem, ‘professional journalism’ Nationalist style.

A Unionist, a Labour supporter and a WOMAN! Louise, there is no place in the Rev's future independent Skintland for you. Bet you're glad about that.

A Unionist, a Labour supporter and a WOMAN! Louise, there is no place in the Rev’s future independent Skintland for you. Bet you’re glad about that.

UKIP: The SNP’s best friends and allies

Ex-public schoolboy and faux geezer ‘man of the people’, Nigel Farage, may represent more of a threat to the Bitter Together forces of negativity and dodgy money than any piddling oil based contributions. AhDinnaeKen ponders why:

"Nationalist pride, like other variants of pride, can be a substitute for self-respect." - Eric Hoffer. No self respecting Skintsman would disagree with that.ct." - Eric Hoffer. No self respecting Skintish fascist would disagree with that.

“Nationalist pride, like other variants of pride, can be a substitute for self-respect.” – Eric Hoffer. No self respecting Skintsman would disagree with that.

By Prejjy Diss and Longshanker

CONSIDER THE following quotes from that oft quoted document of grievance, misgiving and burning injustice, frequently referred to by the chipped shooder Nationalist Brigade – The McCrone report:

“Britain is now counting so heavily on North Sea oil to redress its balance of payments that it is easy to imagine England in dire straits without it.”

“…it is now likely that transfer of North Sea oil to Scottish ownership would occasion much bitterness in England if not an attempt to forcibly prevent it.”

Now, probably more so than ever, oil is a vital source of revenue in helping shore up the UK’s balance of payments.

What’s left of the UK, after the highly unlikely event of independence, would be in double trouble due to the potential significant loss of oil.

We are already careering headlong toward bankruptcy with all the deeply unpleasant social unrest it will inevitably bring.

UKIP’s force majeure showing in the recent elections isn’t so much a symptom of protest – though that is probably the root of it – it’s a symptom of the deep disenfranchisement and frustrated malaise at the political class, currently running throughout the length and breadth of the UK.

In this instance, us Skints are lucky. Our plasticine parliament means that we can vote SNP and delude ourselves, for the timebeing, that the vote actually achieves something.

The SNP phenomenon has certainly helped dissipate, to a small degree, the collective cynicism against the political class in Skintland – the SNP themselves are ever the willing little helpers encouraging the Barnum statement beliefs of ‘social justice’, ‘civicness’, ‘progressiveness’, ‘doing things differently here’ yadda yadda etc etc ZZzzz.

Racists to the left of me, Nationalists to the right
Much is made of UKIP’s alleged racism and pandering to unpleasant extremes. Most of the claims are probably true. They certainly appear to have tapped into the groundswell of the common prejudice and bigotry of Kelvin McKenzie’s archetypal Sun reader as a “bloke down the pub, a right old fascist“.

And that’s why it was a genius move that witnessed Farage’s post-elections press conference being held in a pub.

AhDinnaeKen found it somewhat ironic, given that Farage is now a fully paid up member of the post Milly Dowler Sun King Salmond Rupert Murdoch backscratching publicity whoring club.

"Nationalism is power hunger tempered by self-deception." - George Orwell

“Nationalism is power hunger tempered by self-deception.” – George Orwell.

We* wouldn’t be surprised if Farage’s pub press conference idea had been suggested by a News International PR bod.

And that’s the worry. Farage and his supporters may be the catalyst for an English brand of nationalism which has Skintland firmly in its sights.

Thanks to Sun King Salmond’s current love for the Big European Quangocracy at Brussels, the Skints could easily be painted as the Euro loving ‘enemy within’.

If we think there’s been unpleasantry up till now, then it is as nothing, compared to what will come under UKIP directed fire.

It wouldn’t take much to rile certain pub class fascists into objectifying the Skints as stealers of their future heritage, subsidy junkies, deep fried mars bar munchers etc tedious etc.

It wouldn’t take much for UKIP to point to Skintland’s pocket money plasticine parliament and make the claim that it’s subsidised by ‘their’ English taxes.

And it wouldn’t take much for UKIP to gain quite a few extra significant votes by doing so.

If such a scenario was to occur, and it’s probably more likely than not, then it could be the game changer Sun King Salmond so desperately needs after the last two gruelling weeks for the SNP fantasy machine.

The onslaught against the SNP in that time period has left them punch drunk, reeling, directionless and clueless about how to effectively counter or respond.

Anyone who watched the Jon Snow/Salmond interview recently knows that Salmond never got off of the ropes – the only thing that saved him was the bell of the studio’s ‘next story’.

How AhDinnaeKen will react to English nationalism with a grievance against the Skints, when and if it arises, is an unknown.

All the petty piffling grievances raised by Nationalist types recently over the likes of the SOS saltire swastika, newspaper cartoons, Have I Got News for You ‘bugger offs’ and Susan Calman are laughable and unbecoming of anyone wishing to be taken seriously.

English nationalism with a grievance regarding ‘their’ oil revenues being taken away from them by selfish whinging subsidy junky Jocks could be a different matter altogether.

The polarising of National opinions on a large-ish, mutually antagonistic, politicised scale may just be the boost and game changer so desperately needed by the SNP to recover from the merciless pasting they’ve received recently.

For Nationalism to truly work it needs a common and mutually identifiable enemy.

UKIP may readily deliver that enemy. It’s an enemy we all know:

It’s the Auld Enemy.

Beware the Nationalists of both countries. To work, they need common, easily identifiable and demonised enemies.

UKIP are virtually guaranteed to deliver.

Beware UKIP, the Scottish Nationalists best new buddies.
